If you’re like me, you have never won the lottery (yet), have never received an inheritance and didn’t come from a wealthy family. Not to worry though, I started with nothing too.

I bought my first property by borrowing the entire down payment. Why did I do this? Well, I had no other choice I guess. When I was 25 I made a conscious decision that no matter what, I was going to invest in real estate. Being that I had no money, I had to look at other possibilities in which I could acquire an investment property with zero cash.

Having liquid cash, although it helps, is not a requirement to get started in real estate investing. Ambition and persistence is much more of an important factor in my opinion.
