Become Wealthy Through Organization

Want to be wealthy? Get organized.

I have yet to meet even one financially successful person who is not massively organized. It's impossible to scale any business if you are all over the place, not to mention it's mentally draining.

1. Document Storage - I use Google Drive religiously. I have it on my laptop and on my iPhone. If you asked me for a copy of my 2016 T1 General, 2021 Commission statement, 2018 property tax bill, etc., I could send it to you instantly, from anywhere in the world, with a click of my fingers. I meet investors, or people trying to become investors, who don't even know where any of their documents are! Recipe for instant failure out of the gate.

2. You suck at something, we all do, so pass off the tasks to those who are better than you at any specific thing. This not only ensures the task is done properly but also frees up your time to do things that you don't suck at. I have 4 full-time crew that work WITH me (all women of course) and at least a dozen others that are contract base. My businesses would collapse without each of them.

3. Some routine in life is crucial - I have trained myself to do certain tasks subconciously ie: pay my crew, send documents to lawyers, update my assistant on certain files, and the list goes on. If you want to be a machine, act like one. Some tasks do not need thinking about.

4. At any given time, I have 15-20 spreadsheets open both on my laptop and iPhone. I record data on everything. I mean everything. Every property, every investor, every cent I make, every cent I earn, who owes me money, what bills I have, EVERYTHING. How can you be financially strong if you aren't organized financially??

5. Every morning, no matter where I am on this planet, I look at my calendar for the day before most people even wake up. I review the most important tasks at hand, and immediately cut out anything that will stand in my way. It's imperative that each day start with a clear focus on what needs to get done in the subsequent 24 hours.

6. My entire business is online, and on my phone. There is virtually nothing I cannot do from an airport, a beach, a hotel or from time to time, my own house. Use technology to scale everything. There is an app for everything we do now (scary, but true).
